Terms & Conditions

Treatment terms

  • Prior to any micropigmentation procedure, a thorough consultation will be carried out in order to understand the client’s expectations and to establish suitability for treatment. A patch test is required for the pigment and numbing agents to be used in order to rule out an allergic reaction at the time of treatment. However, this does not mean that an allergic reaction will not occur in the future as allergies can occur at any time. It is an insurance requirement for this process before a treatment is carried out. Patch testing must be carried out at least 24 hours prior to any micropigmentation (SPMU) procedure. In the event that a client cannot or will not want to carry out the patch test in clinic, then a waiver must be filled in and signed that the client accepts full responsibility to any adverse reactions that may occur due to applied pigments and or numbing agents.
  • Allergy testing is not required for dermal fillers, mesotherapy treatments or botulinum toxin.
  • A non refundable booking fee of £100 is required for the consultation and patch test.
  • In the event of cancellation, we require 48 hours notice. If cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances the appointment can be rearranged. All cases are individual and will be treated as such.
  • Guests/children are not permitted during training or treatments. No pets will be permitted on the premises.
  • There is ample, free parking on the main road. The closest tube is Oakwood Station on the Piccadilly line.

Treatment outcomes

Each treatment is assessed on an idividual basis and may sometimes require several treatments in order to achieve the desired results. This is especially true with corrective camouflage procedures for scarring, vitiligo and areola restoration. Micropigmentation procedures such as eyebrows, eyeliner and lip enhancements require a second application to further enhance the pigment and the final result. This must be scheduled between 4 – 8 weeks apart and is a part of the initial process. In some cases pigment can be rejected from the skin, so in this case, subsequent fees will apply and this will be discussed in person when signing your consent forms. In some cases, images taken during the treatment may be used for marketing and on social media. If you do not agree to this, you must clearly state this on the consent form otherwise signing the consent forms is a binding contract between you and Smudge-free Ltd and the use of your images remains at our discretion.

Treatment outcome is very dependant on the client following the correct aftercare instructions. By signing, you agree to undertake all aftercare steps to ensure best possible pigment retention and longevity. We recommend an annual to 18 months refresh to keep your procedure at its best as colour pigmnents fade gradually over time.
Colour pigments can change hue over time and we have no way of knowing how this results in the future as this process is individual and is dependant on lifestyle, elements, biology and chemical reactions within the body, therefore we styrongly advise refresher treatments to keep the colour at its truest.
