Areola Tattooing Training

Areola Tattooing Training Course

Course Outline

This course is designed to apply the finishing touch to those who have undergone breast surgery due to breast cancer or breast augmentation. In both instances the natural anatomy will have been subjected to trauma and damage during surgery. A skilled technician can apply advanced micropigmentation techniques to recreate the areola complex and to camouflage surounding scarring due to surgical incisions. Areola repigmentation is also beneficial for those who suffer with vitiligo which is a skin condition that lacks melanin.

The phsycological benefits of successful treatment is immeasurable and can only be appreciated by those who have undergone breast surgery such as mastectomy or tissue resection. You can be a part of the confidence booster that these patients require in making them feel complete again.

The demonstrations show how Andrew Stassi teaches his students to reproduce the areola and nipple on simulated skins in order that they understand the shadows and highlight points to reproduce a 3D effect on real skin. The skins show multiple techniques demonstrated by using various needle groupings to allow for different effects and for skin resistance. Needles used in these exercises are 3point liner, 5point shader and 9magnum. The samples are not complete so the student will recognise which needle has been used for each areola and nipple. On real skin, more pigment will be applied to complete the desired effect.

Andrew Stassi has developed his own techniques for areola restoration resulting in a very lifelike 3D appearance. His work has been praised by many in the industry internationally, and his work is often used in publications to create awareness. The convincing ‘3D look’ is created with the use of several pigment tones and shading techniques. This is more of an artistic skill and our medical micropigmentation classes will teach you how to get the basic foundation to create such outstanding results.

This advanced level of training is tailored to your requirements and will take you to an advanced level in your chosen field. This opens up the possibility of working with the NHS and private medical practices, where highly skilled technicians are in demand to work with leading plastic surgeons and oncologists to correct scarring after surgery.

There is a lot of job satisfaction in restoring a person’s confidence by carrying out corrective micropigmentation procedures such as:

• Areola restoration and regimentation

• Scar Camouflage

• Scar Relaxation

• Skin Rejuvenation (MCA)

Course Structure

The areola course is made up of one practical drawing day where you will learn how to create the areola and nipple in 3D on simulated skins. You will be shown how to do this using various needle groupings and implantation techniques. On the second day there will be more practical work on the skins flowed by live model(s). You will be asked to provide your own models so that you can monitor the healing progress.
